Other Food Crops
Because this region lies between the equator and the tropic of Capricorn this area has favorable temperatures, sunshine hours and rainfall for growing all sorts of different crops other than grains, cotton and oil seeds. Tropical fruits, avocados, mangoes, papaya, pineapple, guava, banana, coffee, edible beans, palm hearts, citrus, olives, chilies, mamona, melons, miscanthus, tomatos, peanuts, sugar, coconuts, fish, shrimp, alfalfa, grass seed and then sheep, goats, swine, chicken, beef and dairy cattle as well as shrimp, tilapia and many more can all be grown and raised with great success. If these plants and animals are produced on irrigated land they can all produce far more than regular non-irrigated land, as the moisture and nutrients can be controlled and applied through various possible irrigation systems. The possible forms of irrigation for Fazenda Nova Brazilandia will be flood irrigation, “floppy” irrigators, centre pivots, lateral linears, sub terrainian emitters or drip systems. The aquatic cultures can make use of the irrigation water storage ponds or tanks and water movement facilities like canals.
Brazil is both a huge consumer and exporter of fruit and vegetables and juices. These markets are currently undersupplied and relying heavily on traditional farming practices without technology and modern management and growth practices. Dairy products worldwide are rising in demand as are all meat product demands.
There are so many different options depending upon personal taste!
