All things are looking promising for land investment in Brazil. Especially agricultural and beach front land, both of these land investments have proven profitable over the past 20years. Do you know of land prices anywhere in the world to go down? Maybe property prices in early 2009 are dropping, but is it the price of the land or the price of the chattels built upon the land?

There are some great beach front properties around; the most popular places are Natal and Fortaleza to the North.
To give you an idea, good dry land farms are worth between about 40 - 250 sacks per hectare (yes we are still trading with sacks of soya beans for agricultural land sales down here!) And cerrado land that is suited for irrigation is worth around 30 - 45 sacks per hectare. Considering you can get three crops a year off irrigated land that is not a bad deal. Land suited to Eucalypt plantations can be as low as 3-4 sacks per hectare! To give you an idea 1 sack is worth $R48.50BRL (as at 13 Feb 09). Nice beach front lots start at $25,000.00USD, depending on the area you choose, and decent houses on the beach start at $65,000.00USD. Take advantage of a worldwide slump in realestate sales due to the recession and find a great deal in Brazil!!
